Error message when sharing PDF for collaboration

I cannot successfully share out PDF files for collaboration. My colleagues can share my files without issue, and I can see the file, make comments, etc., but I myself cannot successfully share a file from my Adobe Acrobat desktop app, despite being the person who created it. After clicking 'Invite', I see the wheel of death ("Creating Shared file....") eventually followed by an error message "Unable to share - This file can't be sent for comments."

I've done the obvious things - restarted app, restarted computer, tried different PDF files, tried different recipients, etc. I can successfully share a file if I uploaded first to the Adobe cloud and share it out after that, but I'd prefer not to have to upload files. I'd like to share them from the file server like everyone else. Once frustration when I share via the cloud, viewers comments show up as "Guest 1", "Guest 2" etc. and that gets very confusing as to who is leaving which comment.

What could be the reason for the error message when sharing from Acrobat?

Sharing means uploading to the cloud and sharing (just to say!).

What is your Acrobat and version, what is your OS and version? Are you signed-in into your Adobe ID?

I have Acrobat with my Creative Cloud subscription, and it is showing "Up to Date." Looks like Version 24.1.

Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2. Yes, I'm always signed into my Adobe ID.

Clarification - the way I'm trying to share this out is directly from my SharePoint network. Others at my office can do this successfully.
