Even number pages printing garbled

New Here ,
Nov 19, 2020 Nov 19, 2020

I have a bizarre problem.  Using Adobe Acrobat 8 or Reader 10, if I print, let's say, a 5 page .pdf document, the even pages (2 and 4) come out garbled (text is backwards, lines missing and printed half-way, etc.).  I've attached a sample, 2 page doc I printed.  Now, if I print the even pages individually, they come out looking fine.

I've tried the "advanced" "print to image" fix, tried to update the programs and nothing.  Everything else prints fine on my computer.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

"Using Adobe Acrobat 8 or Reader 10"

This is really old stuff. Can't use an updated version?

About Reader, I was mistaken.  It's Acrobat Reader DC which, I think, is pretty new?  Don't have access to a newer version of Adobe, though.

Printing is fine from everything else - Outlook 365, MS Word, etc.  Just the .pdf's AND same problem from both programs.  Why would age be an issue if they worked perfectly forever?

My brother has the same problem if he prints the whole document.  but if I print the even pages one at a time, then the  page prints correctly.  We are using the laatest acrobat reader.  The report came from  Fidelity .

Hi there,

I hope you're doing well! Thanks for reaching out.

To assist you better, could you please share the version of Acrobat Pro you're using? You can find this information by going to Help > About Acrobat. Ensure that your app is updated to the latest version, which is 24.05.20421. You can update it by going to Help > Check for updates. After updating, please reboot your computer.

Additionally, please check for any pending or missing updates for your printer driver and firmware. You can do this by visiting the printer manufacturer's website. If there are updates available, install them and see if that resolves the issue. If not, try removing the printer driver and firmware, rebooting your computer, and then reinstalling them from the manufacturer's website.

Additionally for future reference and self-help please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/faq.html

Please let us know how it goes.

Regards
Amal
