I have a PDF that I am trying to dump to a Excel and it results in something I can't read.

Any suggestions I can try to get something I can read, the weird thing is I tried other tools online and it works, but I need to pay for it .

Already have bought Adode Pro, thinking it was a no brainer that it would worktelus.jpg

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to Acrobat community.

Such issue occurs when font used in the original pdf file (which you converted to excel) is missing in your system , author of the file used a font that isn't in your system and that wasn't properly embedded in the document.

While doing the same conversion online, its able to find the font used or its replacement. I'm sure this must be happening with a specific pdf file not every other file.

There's a workaround you can try-

Open the PDF file you wish to convert

2 - Use File > Print (Using Adobe PDF printer instead of your actual printer)

3 - Save a copy of the PDF and name as needed

4 - Open your new file with Adobe Acrobat

5 - Convert to xlsx

If this doesn't work, then you need to have that font installed on your system, which was used to create the pdf file. To check the fonts details, Open PDF>Ctrl+d>Document Propertied>Fonts

Thanks,

Akanchha
