Exported Word docs to PDF are formatted wrong in Adobe Acrobat Reader since Sonoma Update

Hi. I work for a church that prints booklets each week. We do this by creating the booklet in Word, exporting to PDF, and then printing with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Since the Sonoma update, after I export the Word doc to PDF the formatting is wrong in Adobe. The margins are different and there are added icons that weren't in the Word doc. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi, @Sellwood_Church; I'm assuming you are doing Command-p to Print and then selecting "Save as PDF" from the left PDF menu. Correct?

The problem is that Apple's default PDF generator converted the Word document to PDF. Adobe and/or Acrobat were not involved in the PDF creation. If there are errors in the conversion, it's Apple's software.

I can think of two possible ways to go around this issue: One, can you simply print out your booklet directly from Word? I'm not fully sure I understand what the extra step in converting the Word document into a PDF is for.

Alternatively, contact Apple and ask them for help and tell them the problems you are having. If you are having this issue, certainly others are as well.

Good luck!
