Extract pages from PDF

This must be a bug or something but I'm trying to extract some pages from a pdf and ending up with the wrong page ranges everytime i use it. This used to work correctly but is now in the newest version of acrobat not working. 

• I open a pdf with several pages.
• Choose Organize Pages
• Choose two pages and choose Extract
• The range is now "p. [173]-p. 174" because that is what the pages are named. I don't wanna change this name everytime i load new pdfs to extract parts from.
• I also do not wanna rename pages to 123 everytime or set 2,3 if i want to extract 2,3.
