FIll & Sign Add New Signature Grayed out and not allowing me to proceed. Esc is only way out.

I am attempting to place a signature on a pdf and am unable to add a new signature to acrobat. After clicking on it, it grays out the entire page and does not provide me with anyway to add a signature. The only way to get out of the gray page is to press Esc. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you for reaching out.

 

As the signature option not workig properly, please ensure that the application is updated.

In the application, go to Help > Check for updates. Try rebooting the machine once and relaunch the application. Check if that makes any difference.

 

Also, check if the issue occurs when you try to add signature to this particular PDF or with other PDFs as well.

Open any alternate PDF in the application and try to add signature.

 

Would you mind sharing the application and OS version installed on the machine? 

Also, it woud be helpful if you can share the sample PDF on which the issue occurs.

Im having the same issue. I can only get out by force quit and thereby loosing all of my content. Is there a way to get out of this gray overlay to prevent loosing all of my data

Please try to repair the installation (For Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation and see if that works.

 

If it still doesn't work please try the following steps
