Fill & Sign not working! - Trying to sign a document

I'm trying to sign an IRCC Permenant Residency document. I got the Acrobat Pro features to let me add my signiture to a document, but the e-sign/fill & sign options are greyed out and unselectable. The program tells me the authour has given specific fields to add a signiture but they aren't showing in the designated signiture boxes, meaning they don't have that blue highlight.

Please someone help before April 27th!

@Jayce707 first of all congratulations in being a soon-to-be-permanent resident! It sounds like the PDF form you're trying to sign has specific signature fields embedded by the author (ie government), and Acrobat Pro is recognizing this. The reason the "Fill & Sign" option is greyed out is likely because the document is designed to be signed within those designated fields.

To fix this, you need to locate the actual signature boxes on the document. They should appear as empty fields, sometimes with a subtle outline or a label indicating where to sign. Zoom in on the document and carefully review all the designated signature areas. Once you find one of these fields, clicking on it should activate the signature options, allowing you to apply your signature.

Hello, I have a similar issue. I can view and fill in both my documents, there are two (Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294) (required) and Family Information Form (IMM5707)(required) ). But when I try to "valdiate" them nothings happens and a clock appears and never goes away. A barcode should appear under the documents but nothing happens. Also I cannot sign them, specially the IMM5707 format as the option is not admitted. I am attaching some photos. My Adobe Acrobat is the latest version (Architecture: x86_64 Processor: Intel Build: 25.1.20467.0 AGM: 7.1.11 CoolType: 10.0.3 JP2K: 4.0.2.54782) on MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1.

I do not have a problem with the Application for study permit as it shows in the image below. I could sign it all and the barcodes appear. But that does not happen for the other document.
