Fit page intial view

After I create a PDF using pdfmaker in MS Word, Acrobat opens the pdf magnified vs. "Fit page initial view."

When viewing the PDF, I have to set the initial view to "Fit page" manually. How do you do this for all pdfs?

When viewing the pdf, I select: 1. File; 2. Properties; 3. Initival view tab; 4. Magnification = Fit Page; 5. OK; 6. Save the document. This ensures each time the pdf opens, the initial view is fit page.

How do you set this in Adobe Acrobat for all PDFs?

Do you set this in the pdfmaker in Word? I've checked and can't find the setting.

For post processing, one can use Acrobat's Professional Actions, Batch Processing, to set the document preferences for batches of PDFs with one action.

You can define the page layout and zoom for each document or as your personal user setting. Unfortunately, the document setting overrides the user setting. However, some people might want to open every PDF in the same zoom factor. Therefore, I suggest leaving the standard document settings and change your personal setting.
