Font Pack, 15.007.20033 and Incorrect Version

I am trying to download and open up a pdf file from a client.  I get an error message stating :A font package is required to correctly display this page. Click OK to direct your browser to download the add on from adobe.com."  I am not directed to my browser when I click ok.  I have done some research and I found the font pack and when I click download, and begin to install, I get the following error, "The version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system is not compatible with this installer. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 15.007.20033 or later is required.  When I try to instll that version, I get an error, "Setup has deected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate."

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed and the version is 2020.006.20034.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can open these files from my client?  Thank you.

    Hi,

This has been answered before with different guidance. Some things work for some users, others doesn't .

I was able to offer a successful workaround in another thread but the user could not accept the solution because of his enterprise environment.

See the discussion thread here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/adobe-reader-dc-language-pack-fro-version-2020-006-20034/m-p/10923979?page=1

And scroll down almost to the end of the discussion.

There is an installation method that I was able to work around with successful results.

Unless Adobe can confirm this is a glitch in the installation setup files, this workaround proves to work. At least on my end it did with Windows 10.

I didn't have this issue though. But I recreated the scenario in my computer to get the same error, and was able to get it fix with the steps above in that link.

See if it helps with your issue.
