Hello! I have seen similar questions but the suggested troubleshooting hasn't worked. I am trying to edit a PDF and, even though I have the suite of fonts in the cloud, locally, and embedded in the file, new typing appears as dots. I can use the font to create documents in other programs (e.g., InDesign) but when exported as a PDF I cannot edit it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and rebooted and unfortunately, no change. Any tips?

Hi all, i have exactly the same problem as the person mentioned above. How to fix this? Is this a bug from Acrobat?

The dots represent that the original font is missing on your computer.
Under File / Document Properties, see which fonts the PDF is using. Note their names: specifically how they are spelled.
Install any of the fonts that are missing from your computer.
Acrobat requires that if you want to edit a PDF, you must have the fonts installed. There's no way to get around this requirement.

Thanks for your response. The whole problem is that I added this Font to the creative cloud. This adding works because the new lettertype is appearing in acrobat. However this happens when I am using it.
when I am using the same font in Photoshop, it works...
