This just started for me. Clients cannot view multi-page PDFs now. I am simplying trying to combine several files into one PDF so that it can be reviewed all together. Did something change? This has not been a problem in the past. Thank you.

There are two differen output formats when you combine files: They can be combined into one PDF file. Any non-PDF files you’ve selected will be converted to PDF. Or, you can combine them into a PDF Portfolio. This is a wrapper document that can contain other documents. In this case, you can also embed bin-PDF files, and they will remain in their original format (this is import if you for example have an Excel spreadsheet with macros). So, somehow you must have selected portfolio as the output format. Look on the merge dialog. It may be behind the Options dialog that you can start from the merge dialog. Which version of Acrobat are you using?
