Form fields do not move smoothly into the location I need anymore. They jump over and under the location I need the field in.

Two days ago I was making forms and inputting fillable and drop-down fields into forms- they moved smoothly in exactly the right place I needed them to.  Now they don't move smoothly at all.  They jump above and below the space that I need to put them in. Is there a setting I can change or something to fix this?
