Question

Forms no longer fillable after last Adobe CC Update

Our entire office just got a quick message saying that Adobe Acrobat DC installed updates.  Now none of the forms that we use every day are fillable.  They also show "Secure" when you open them.  All of the form fields are completely gone.

We created most of these forms, and never put password security on any of them.

It appears that this is only affecting Adobe Acrobat Standard edition.  The few people running the Pro edition can still edit and fill out the forms just fine.  What gives?  This is killing us right now.

The version that it was just updated to is 2015.006.30279

Hi Devin,

Can you share a sample file where we can try to reproduce the problem mentioned by you.

This is one of the forms that is causing problems, but only on Acrobat Standard.  It works fine in Acrobat Professional.

Hi TheDeadTaco,

The file you sent appears as "SECURED" in Acrobat Pro as well. Also, we are able to fill the form in Standard as well.

Could you help me out with a few queries:

1. You are unable to fill out the forms on Acrobat Standard. What do you see on page 5 of the attached document? Could you send a snapshot of it?

2. What are the security settings applied for the file when you see them in Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Standard? Press Ctrl+D and go to Security tab on the top.

3. Could you check what is the form field highlight settings applied on your machine? Ensure that the 'Show border hover color for fields' checkbox is checked.

Regards,

Acrobat Team
