Question

Forms not being able to be filled out and saved by users

I have created a associate performance review form. It has form fields for quarterly reviews and an annual review. However no one is able to save the form after completion. It does not haved security assigned and all fields are marked to "Anyone" and fields are set to unlocked. Do they need a certain version of Adobe Acrobat READER? Or are they possibly required to have Adobe ACROBAT? Do I have to export it a certain way?

Hi @swagelokallentown ,

Thank you for reporting the issue and inconvenience caused due to this. Can you save the PDF as Reader Extended PDF from your Acrobat Pro while saving the form and then try.  This can be done via File-->Save as Other-->Reader Extended PDF-->Enable More Tools(includes form fill-in & save) (Please find below screenshot for your reference).

Let me know if this works for you!

Regards,

They are using Adobe Reader 9.03. Does that not support the saving of forms?

Saving forms requires Acrobat Reader 11 (XI) or Acrobat Reader DC.

To be saved with older versions the form must be "Reader Extended", using Acrobat Pro (version 9 or newer).

That looks like an extremely old version of Reader.

They are using Adobe Reader 9.03. Does that not support the saving of forms? We weren't encountering this issue last quarter.

I should add that we have an associate and  manager sign off every quarter.

Have you created the form with AEM Forms Designer?

Not sure what that is. Was originally a word doc converted to PDF and installed form fields.
