Free trial of Adobe DC not letting me edit pdfs

Hi! I am trying a free trial of Adobe DC. I downloaded, installed, confirmed, rebooted, opened a PDF, signed in but it still will not let me edit! What is wrong?

Thank you Akanchha,

When I said I had signed in, I meant I had signed in to Adobe, not that the document was signed. I double checked the properties and indeed, it has not been signed by anyone. Any other thoughts?

Thanks for sharing the steps you followed.

As mentioned, the document has been signed so it could be a possibility the pdf has been locked.

Go to File>Properties or hit Ctrl + D on the document. Now under the security tab, you can see what all security is applied to the document.

If it is secured, you can check what all features are allowed or not allowed.
