Hi @B i r n o u,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience and the delayed response.

Would you mind trying the given troubleshooting steps:

  1. Hit the Windows Start button.
  2. In the search box, type "Update" and press "ENTER."
  3. In the Windows Update dialog box, click "Check for Updates" (or a similar button, depending on your Windows version)
  4. If updates are available for download, click "Install Updates."
  5. After the update is completed, restart your PC.

If this does not help, try the below steps:

Step 1:  Uninstall "Notification Manager for Adobe Acrobat"

Click on the start menu -> Search for the above app -> Right click-> Uninstall.

Step 2:  Delete the following registry key

     HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\Installer\NotificationAppx

Hope this helps.

Thank you @S. S for your feedback.
well at the time I quit Acobat, restarted the machine... since then it doesn't seem to have this kind of problem anymore.
Anyway, I just followed your advice, by uninstalling Notification Manager for Adobe Acrobat, and modifying the registry.

to be followed just in case.
take good care and thanks for your help
have a pleasant day
