When I share this form with others to fill out, what program must they have on their computer to be able to fill it out?

I purchased Adobe Acrobat DC so I could create this form. Started with a form I had from a genealogy program and added ALL the text boxes to be filled in. Made then all visible. Now when I open in anything other than Acrobat DC, all I see is the original form without boxes to be filled in! Do I need to save it as something else?

Even when I open in Acrobat DC, all I see is blue boxes without visible words in the fields.

What am I doing wrong? Want this to be simple for those to whom I send the form!

What is your form?

Generic TXT or Word Document or something created by your genealogy program???
