Getting compile error in hidden module: link error

I keep getting "Compile error in hidden module:link" when trying to open a word document. I see 4 downloads for Mac computers to fix the issue, but wonder which one do I use?  Or do I have to download all 4?

Does the error message appears when you start other MS Office applications like Excel?

I am encountering the same problem when trying to open MS Word. I have Microsoft 2016 and I have OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.6

I have this same problem. I am using the latest Mac Word (15.18), and the latest Acrobat DC (2017.009) on OS/X 10.10.5 (Yosemite). I just updated to the latest DC, it keeps installing linkcreation.dotm in the Word startup directory which gets this error. When I delete that file, I don't get this error.
