Question

Have XPRO SN for new computer-but install looking for qualifying 7,8,9 which I never had

I purchased Acrobat X Pro years ago and have two valid licenses. ..mistakenly paid TWICE!!! One of the SN's seems to work just fine., the other one not at all. However, after I enter the "good" SN, the installer prompts for a qualifying older version (7, 8, or 9), which I do not have. I previously owned Acrobat Standard X, but it doesn’t seem to qualify.

I am not looking to upgrade or purchase a new version—just to activate the software I already paid for. Can you verify my license and provide a workaround or activation method that doesn’t require an older serial number?

I even deactivated on one computer hoping that would help. It is running perfectly fine on windows 11 in one other computer I purchased long after I had the proper SN. I have some recollection of having this issue then, which was a few years ago. The resolution required a phone call with a tech to resolve. Please allow me to contact you by phone? I don't want to post my SN here.

Thanks,

Barbara

Don't waste your time (on top of your money...). You can't activate older versions of Acrobat since Adobe discontinued the activation servers some time ago.

Easier said than done. That's why I came here. I can't find the phone number or chat. I've been going in circles.    I just read something about adobe enterprise having this capability? I'll continue to play with it.  Thanks.

The only option was chat - but they have ghosted me. I googled the support number for amazon and will try that.
