Question

Having trouble printing one chapter of a large textbook that has bookmarks.

I need to print one chapter of a textbook that has about 700 pages. I know how to print page ranges and double-sided, but for some reason when I pick the page ranges, it prints out other pages I didn't choose altogether. This textbook also has tons of bookmarks, sections, subsections, etc. I'm thinking that is the reason it may be tweaking. I was able to print the chapter I wanted by right clicking the bookmark, but it only allowed me to print single sided. Does anyone know how to get around all this? BTW - I have Acrobat X. Thanks!

Try printing the actual page range by adding a "+" in front of the page numbers. e.g +3-+16. This will print the 3rd page through the 16th page, regardless of how they are numbered or named in the PDF.

Thank you. I received an error saying: "Please enter a valid page range". Anything else I can try?

You could see if there is an update to your print driver, do a google search of your printer model.

You could make a copy of your PDF, then re-number all of the pages. I don't have Acrobat X, so I can't give you the exact steps, but go to your page thumbnails (select all) > Page Labels> Page numbering> All> Begin new section. Then determine the pages you need to print. You might need to use Acrobat X Pro.
