Highlight color=white, opacity=100% doesn't work in same way like color=black and opacity=100%.

Hi,

I try the highlight function with this settings: color=white, opacity=100% and doesn't work in same way like color=black and opacity=100%.

I expected that white with opacity=100% to generate a white bar on top of the text.

I tried with scanned pdfs and with generated pdfs and it doesn't work.

There are other settings that can be made for this ?

Thanks!

Are you trying to hide the text? If so, use a Square comment and set its fill color to white.

If you want to remove the text, use a Reaction annotation, and apply it.

Yes, I try to hide the text.
I didn't mention, I use adobe acrobat reader 2023.008.20470 64bit
Square comment is not as easy to use as the Highlighter.
Thanks!

Well, it's what will work for your purposes. A highlight comment has a different transparency blend, so it can't be used to completely hide what's underneath it.
