horizontal spacing of monospace font varies from line to line---why?

What setting do I need to adjust to fix the horizontal spacing problem in the leader dots below?  Not seeing it.

How did you create the file?

Have no idea why that should matter, but now that you asked the question, I guess it probably explains the behavior.  The original file was created using FullWrite Pro for the Macintosh about 30 years ago.  It was a FullWrite file not a pdf.  The conversion was done in more recent times, probably using the Save As PDF feature in a print dialog box on my Macbook.

Anyway, it's all moot now because there was an easy workaround:  I just created a new text box and started from scratch.  The monospacing worked correctly in the new box.
