Question

How can I convert multiple Word documents to PDF using Acrobat Pro 2020?

Acrobat allows me to convert individual .docx files to pdf. But when I select the Multiple Files option, Microsoft Word isn't one of the supported file types. But PowerPoint and Excel files are.

I've tried reinstalling both Word (Office) and Acrobat, but no luck.

Are there others with Acrobat Pro 2020 who are experiencing the same issue? Does anyone know what might be missing or corrupted that isn't allowing me to select Word files in this screen?

This forum does not allow you to attach ZIP or SEQU files (which is a shame), so you can find the batch sequence here:

Create an Action with a Save command and run it on your files.

Acrobat doesn't let me process .docx files in the Action Wizard either, unfortunately. I've also tried multiple Word documents created at different times by different users, just in case the error message was right and the file was somehow corrupted.

Do you have Office installed?

You should use the Action wizard to batch convert these DOCX files.
