How can I enable extended features in Adobe Acrobat Standard DC

Hi!  

I have Adobe Acrobat Standard DC.   I have several PDF's saved on my desk top as a save as.   Whenever I edit the PDF and do a save as or save a copy I receive the error message attached.  

Can this be fixed with an adjustement to settings?  I need the PDF's editable once I choose a save as.

Are you doing it from within Acrobat, via File - Save a Copy?

Yes I am. I have tried save as and save a copy and I receive the same error in both options.

Does you open the copy?

Yes I have and when I open the copy and try to edit editable sections where it's grayed out and it does not allow me to.   It is uneditable.

No it is not....I have checked.

Saving as a copy to get a not-Extended PDF requires Acrobat Pro.

I have tried but I still get the same error.   I am doomed with this program and our IT is of absolutely no help.

Sorry, I meant: you must use the "Save a Copy" item which appear in the middle of the File menu of Acrobat Pro only if the current opened document is "Reader Extended".

Hi!  Thanks for trying to help me.  It is so appreciated.   I receive the same error message if I save a copy, save as, and save.   It is not editable after each option.

After save a copy you must open the copy.

It's OK for me too with this document.

I can take advantage of Acrobat Pro's exceptional editing features to edit the document. See below what happens when you delete a letter. 🙂
