How can I print borderless in Acrobat Reader DC (printer: Epson XP-640 supports borderless printing)

I created a file in Indesign (including 0.25 inch bleed), I exported it as a PDF (print quality) and now I am trying to print it borderless. I tried every combination of different settings but every print out has an 1/8 inch white border around it. What am I doing wrong? I am going mad because in the past (back then I wasn't using Indesign, only Illustrator and Photoshop) I was easily able to do this with any PDF but now I cannot figure out what the problem is.
