Question

How do I add checkboxes to the comment popup?

Since I can't adjust the size of the comments panel on the right I mostly leave it minimized. but I also like to be able to click the checkbox to mark that I've read a comment. I used to be able to do this in X but I can't figure out how to do it in DC Pro.   I know I can go through the hassel of right click, set status, mark complete, but I'm looking for something simpler and that wouldn't show up for another user were they to open my file.

I'm able to right click on comments in the comment pain and 'add checkmark' but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it from just the document pop ups.

Please help! Thank you

Hello Amanda,

I hope you are doing well. Per the description, I understand that you want to add check marks to the comments.

To do so, you can go to Preferences-> commenting-> enable the checkbox that says Show Checkbox.

Once done, the checkbox will be available for all the comments.

To know more, click here: How to enable checkmark for comments? (adobe.com)

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

Souvik.

Hi, I've already done that but it didn't help. I can see the check box in the comments panel but not the popups.

I need a checkbox option for here because I have minimal screen space and the comments panel is too big to leave open all the time since it won't allow me to resize it at all.

@Amanda22866232p1n8 Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response.

You can stop the comment pane from auto-opening as well. You can follow the below steps:
1. Launch Preferences dialog.
2. Select Commenting from the Categories section on the Left side.
3. Uncheck the checkbox for the "Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened.

Let me know if this helps.
