I created a form in Acrobat, but now I want to edit it. Acrobat comes back and says I cannot because the form is secure.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your help, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was trying to edit a form that I created using Adobe FormsCentral, but when I was trying to edit that form I was right-clicking the PDF file and selecting edit with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. That's when I got my error saying it's secured. What I needed to do was return to FormsCentral and edit it that way. I was under the impression because I created it with an Adobe product, it would know which product was needed to edit it.

It sounds like you added a permissions password to restrict editing. Do you remember what it is? You can unlock it by entering the password in File > Properties > Security > Change Settings.

No, I checked that. I can open it and fill it, but I can't edit it. I want to add a field.

Did you perhaps sign the file using a digital signature?
