How do I enable document rights for my pdf in adobe acrobat 9?

I have searched for various ways on the internet. Some suggest enabling from ADVANCED OPTIONS but that option is not visible. Some suggest doing it from SAVE AS OTHER option from the FILES tab. But I only see SAVE A COPY and SAVE AS TEXT. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I still can't find a way to enable document rights so that I can comment and highlight in my pdfs.

That's an old version, and it's been completely redesigned TWICE since then. Be sure to follow instructions for Acrobat 9 only. But you don't need to add document rights to comment or highlight in Acrobat 9 Pro.

Ah, I notice you didn't say "Pro". Could it be you have Acrobat Standard 9?

I believe it was somewhere under the Advanced menu in that ancient version... Can't provide an exact description of where to find it, though.
