Question

How do I flatten a stamp and make it unchangeable?

I want to be able to change a stamp so that when I use it, it cannot be moved or deleted.  I know there is a "Flatten PDF" option, but I would rather change the stamp than make changes on a PDF by PDF basis.  Changing the stamp would be more efficient.  How do I make a stamp unchangeable so other people cannot move or delete it?  Thank you

You can accomplish this using the Preflight panel in Adobe Acrobat. Just run the "Flatten all annotations into page contents" fix-up.

Chad - I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2022.003.20258, trying to flatten my finished 11x17 drawing with company logo and PE stamp.  Pre-Flight PDF fixups section setting shows "Flattens annotations and form fields", Flattening Preview doesn't include PE stamp, post-flattening PDF file incldued PE stamp but didn't flatten anything (i.e., comapny logo and stamp selectable/editable as separate objects).  Am I doing something wrong?  Do I need to upgrade to DC?

You can use this free tool to flatten stamps only:

There's no built-in property of the stamp itself that can do it. You can set the stamp you applied as Locked and then set that as the new default, but that can be easily overcome. The only way to achieve what you asked for is to flatten the page on which the stamp was applied, but that has to be done externally from the stamp itself.
