How do I lock a pdf?

Hello all,

I am trying to have my pdf lock all fields after I have signed a pdf. This option isn't working for me and I'm trying to figure out why. When I go to the signature box I select properties > signed > and select mark as read only. It does not work.

That should do the trick... Are you signing the form by clicking the Signature field, though?

@try67  Yes I click the signature box and it shows me my name and I type my password to sign.  Still doesn't lock all fields afterwards.

So what exactly does it do? Are some fields locked and some not? Are none locked at all?

Can you share an example file illustrating the issue before and after signing? 
Usually it should work as you describe it but there may be something special about the PDFs in question.
