How do I prevent Acrobat from automatically uploading files to the cloud when emailing from the app?

In days gone by you used to be able to email your file from within the application. Over the years Adobe have been pushing the use of its cloud storage services and made it increasingly difficult to do. Now that facility seems to have been dropped entirely from its sharing option OR am I missing somethign here?  ATM if I click on the envelope (email button) it starts an automatic upload and shoots a link to it in my mail app. I am not happy about this - can anyone help?

To stop Adobe Cloud from changing your attachments to links in Microsoft Outlook, you can disable the relevant add-ins. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open Outlook and go to the main window.
  2. Click on the File tab in the upper left corner.
  3. Select Options from the menu.
  4. In the Outlook Options window, go to the Add-ins category on the left.
  5. At the bottom of the window, you’ll see a Manage drop-down menu. Select COM Add-ins and click Go.
  6. In the COM Add-ins window, uncheck the box next to Adobe Document Cloud for Microsoft Outlook.
  7. Click OK to save your changes.

Make sure the send as link in toggled off and it should attach the pdf to the email.

Hope this helps.
