Question

How do you create a document where the pages are 8x10 for real not with "Hidden parts of the page"

I need to crate a blank 8x10 pdf document. Not hidding the margins, but a true 8x10. I have a 3rd party app that I neeed an 8x10 pdf. I can do it very. easily by creating a blank photograph in photoshop and saving it as a 8x10 document.  The document works for my aplication. However, I am concerned that the document may be an 8x10 pdf, but under certain conditions it will fail. I can open the 8x10 pdf in Acrobat and do something save it and use it in the 3rd party software

So instead of using photoshop to create it I wand to do it in Acrobat, I'd bet that I doulld also create the 8x10 in Word also.

Can I do it directly in Acrobat?

Thank you,

Stephan

Acrobat does not “create” documents, but Acrobat can “convert” an existing document into a PDF file. Photoshop takes an image (For the records: you're not working with a photograph if you create a document in Photoshop) and can save that image as a PDF file. If you do not keep the Photoshop edit data, you will have a simple PDF with no specific “foreign” data embedded. But it will always be a pixel file, even if each pixel is white.

You really should use Word, Illustrator or a similar program to create a native PDF file like that. You could even create a Postscript file, that you convert to PDF or, I guess, you could manually create a PDF file, using a simple Notepad editor, but that will be beyond the skills of a standard user, me included.
