Choosing the Mnu > Preferences > Documents > and checking the box to "remember the current state of Tools Pane" does not seem to fix this. I also tried using "Restore last view settings when opening documents." Neither worked on their own or in combination. --RANT-- Why can't Adobe get it that real estate on the screen is so important? If we need to see the tool pane, we'll open it. --RANT OVER --Anyways, thanks to anyone that has some insight into this. I am using Continuous Release | Version 2023.001.20174 | 64-bit

I am using Windows, and Acrobat 2023.001.20174 | 64 bit.  I don't see that option on my Preferences>Documents.

Does yours have different options?

I believe they delete this option as a "punishment" if your license lapses, to force you to look at a giant drawer of tools you can't use until you pay up.

Hi @Formerly30818644amb9,

@Formerly30818644amb9

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat.

The above checkbox saying, "Restore last view settings when reopening documents," should keep your layout intact when using or launching Acrobat.

If that does not work, resetting the preference files should fix this. You can find the steps here: Resetting Acrobat Preference settings to default.
