I am assisting one of our users with an issues she's having in Adobe Acrobat Standard. She inserts an image into a PDF file, then she'd like to change the background color of just the image.
She tells me that this used to be not only possible, but easy in an earlier version.
I've been looking around the product as well as searching online, but I'm not seeing a way to do it.
Is there a way to change the color of an image that you have inserted into a PDF?
(I'm running Adobe Acrobat Standard version 2022.003.20263.)

Adobe Acrobat Pro is a PDF editor, not an image editor.
For instance, if the image that you are trying to embedd in the PDF was produced with photo-editing software, you will note that there are no tools nor features in Acrobat that permits the user to freely modify all the necessary elements.
You need a graphic image manipulation program, (such as Adobe Photoshop, for example), in order to crop around the desired objects as you would do with a background removal tool.
You'll also be limited with tools that otherwise would facilitate how to separate layers or masks (if present in that image).
However, with the Acrobat's Print Production tool you may be able to partially achieve some things for color management and color profiles.
