Hello,
I was wondering how you can create fillable templates that will also allow you to collect signatures when you pull them up in real time without having to email them to a recipient. I added the signature fields to the template but when I click on the field when I use the template it defaults to the name being typed. Can you help troubleshoot?

Explain what you mean by "fillable templates". And also how you expect to "collect signatures" without emailing the recipient.

Hello..... Thom
The population of clients my organization serves are incarcerated so they can not access emails hence why I am trying to figure out why my fillable template is not gathering signatures despite me adding the field. In adobe you have the option to create templates to reuse so I would like support with figuring out why the signature field is only typing out the signature rather than drawing or capturing an e-signature. I hope this "clarifies" things for you.

That clears up things some.
I assume that by "Adobe" you mean Acrobat Professional?
By "Template", do you mean an "Adobe Web form" or an "Adobe Sign form"?
So do you physically hand a client a tablet so they can enter a signature? If not then how do they access your template?
And when they do access it, on what type of device are they using and what application is it viewed in?

Im referring to the Adobe web form. The goal is to be document ready so we can access the template from our adobe accounts on the web using a tablet. Using the app isnt very user friendly and it does not have all of the features of the desktop version. The client would only have access to a signature pad and the employees will be filling in the information for the client due to policy restrictions in the facility. Thank you for the support.

So this is not an Acrobat or PDF question. But I can tell you that for the system you've described to work, the signature pad has to be compatible with the tablet, the browser and the Adobe web app that is displaying the web form.
To answer these questions you should post on the Adobe Sign forum (They'll want to know the type of tablet, signature pad, and browser being used). The Web form is a variation on the Sign form. They are really the same thing.
