How to delete embedded fonts

I have a scanned document where embedded fonts make up more than 90 % of total filesize.

I want to delete at least some of these, since the filesize is enormous and there seemingly are a lot of duplicate fonts.

However, when I go to optimize pdf > advanced optimization, no font is listed.

How can I delete the fonts and reduce the filesize?

Hi William258944569fd6,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please try the steps suggested in the following community thread with a similar discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/unable-to-remove-fonts-from-a-pdf-file/td-p/10973.... Check if that helps.

Let us know if that does not resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi

Thanks for your reply!

I did try to follow the guide, although I did not completely understand the steps. No success.

I did the following.

File>Create>Blank Page

File>Insert Pages> From File

No change in size or optimization options

I also tried

File>Create>Blank Page

File>Create>Combine files into a single PDF

Best,

William

The scan was sent to me by a colleague, I'm not exactly sure how it was created.
