How to enable scrolling by default

How to enable scrolling by default. I'm using Acrobat DC. Every time, when I open document I chose in view -> Page Display -> Enable scrolling. It works, untill I close Acrobat. When I open acrobat next time, in order to be able to scroll I should do this set up again. How to make this setup stick?

    Hi @miket24434990,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

Acrobat, by default opens the PDF in the view that has been set at the time of creation.

You can override the settings by going to Preferences-> Accessibility-> check the box saying "Always use Page Layout Style" and change it to continuous.

    Hope this helps.

I went through EVERY SINGLE Preference in Adobe Acrobat to try to figure this out. I'm very happy to finally have an answer (years later), but - jeez - how would anyone know that "Always use Page Layout Style" would have ANYTHING to do with ENABLE SCROLLING!!!

    ain't it da truth.....
Makes one want to punch a hole in a concrete wall because of the simplicity of the resolution and for some reason, the software vendor does not make easier to find that resolution.... up to us to kinda guess our way through...
    sheesh, technology......

This does not work UNLESS the Accessibility setting is off or matches. Accessibility setting negates anything this flow is set to do! You should always add that caveat to this step flow if you're posting it.

    @jim_2541,

    Thanks for pointing it out.

Adding a screenshot for the preference you mentioned to ease out navigation for future users:

Go to Account>preference then on the "page display" settings in select "page layout" single page continuous or two up continuous.

Unless it's changed recently, I think you'll find that only works for the current session. Next time, it will be back to normal. The permanent fix is the one under 'accessibility' covered elsewhere  in this thread.

Very appreciative of your reply. Like everyone esle here, it's great to know I wasn't the only one frustrated with this problem, and would never have looked under Accessibility.

Once it's adapted in both locations, it works perfectly. Thank you.

This post is from 2016 and we're still dealing with the same problem in 2023? ... sheesh

Yep, it is kinda a kick in the rear ain't it.... DOUBLE sheesh....

Adobe should be doing a few face-palms at this point...

    But HEY!

Maybe when they implement more AI at Adobe (when it isn't hallucinating), maybe, just maybe - that AI will notice and say "hey, folks are STILL going on and on and on about this topic...."
