How to extract or save selected pages to a new PDF?

I have a large PDF and would like to -select- a range of pages and save them to a new PDF.
Then delete the source.
Or -extract- to a new PDF.

My current 'workaround':

Create New from file - use whatever availabe file (e.g. some image)
Then drag pages from source to the new one
Delete this '1st page (i.e. the image)

Delete pages from source

I know I can extract pages to single files, but have not found a way to save selected pages as a new (single) PDF.

Maybe I am overlooking a feature though?
Thanks!

"I believe pages will be extracted to separate files then(?)"

Not when you disable the option for separate files.

You can extract the pages at Tools > Organize Pages

Thanks.

Similar as to under "Page Thumbnails".
What I meant is to have some sort of "extract"or "copy" or "move" (whatever) a one, single new PDF, not to separate .pages.
