How to find the serial number for adobe acrobat standard DC 2015?

Years ago we installed this verison of adobe on a computer, and we need to find the serial number to register that to a new computer. Where can the serial number be found in the application that is assocaited with this version. Also, how do you deactivate this version on the old computer to use this license on a new computer. There appears to be no sign out option under the help tab, and nothing to indicate a deactivation option. If the serial number is not found in the application itself, then how do we know which serial number is associated with which computer if we have multiple computers all with the same version with their own license? Also, is it possible to update to a new version from what I have, or is it requird to buy the newer version?

Generally speaking: you have the serial number, and you need to keep the serial save at a place to be found back. (I know, I also worked in IT. Sometimes things do not happen as they should…)

You have different options:

So the only way to know which serial number is associated with which computer is if its manually tracked on our own? As far as deactivation, is that just done through an uninstall of the application on the old computer?

If you have a “site” licence, that means one licence number for all installs. And then you simply uninstall on the old computer. If you have found back your licence number, Adobe support can confirm the type of the licence. If you know the person who bought or at least installed the software, you may be able to sign them in to their account. They may have registered the licence.

If they left the company, you may try to reactivate their e-mail, and with that e-mail get access to their Adobe-ID. It's hacking around, if you do not have the correct information. If you have the invoice and the sales were directly from Adobe, you may be able to get help from Adobe. You see, there are plenty of ifs.

As for the upgrade question: I am not convinced that an upgrade is still possible. The latest non-subscription version is Acrobat 2020. There is one version in-between. 2020 is still supported. https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/eol-matrix.html
