  • Got rid of my old printer info from my adobe scanner list.
  • It's hard to do, as there are thousands of related files.
  1. Since El Capitan can't be updated on an old Mac Book Pro, the Bonjour won't get updated & will show a malfunction.
  2. So need to work around that issue, or buy a new Mac Book Pro or computer.
  3. Make sure icloud e-mail works fine, log out from all application using icloud and log in back.
  4. go to devices > Mactintosh HD >> Library >>> carefully look for "image capture" related >>>> deleted unwanted printer.
  5. This will have adobe scanner list with no printer.
  6. Restart , usually if at all by mistake deleted any thing will be installed automatically.

Please check with the scanner driver provider for proper uninstallation. It may not be a proper solution but, you can try following steps:

1. Quit all running applications.

2. Remove the USB cable connected between the scanner and your computer.

3. Open Finder application of your Mac OS X.

4. Click [Go] from the menu bar ->[Go to Folder...].

5. Enter the locations listed below -> click [Go] -> delete the files or folders related to scanner driver you are seeing.

  • /Library/Application Support/
  • /Library/Image Capture/Devices/*
  • /Library/IMage Capture/ TWAIN Data Sources/

Thanks.
