I know that Livecycle ES is ending. I'd like to know how to purchase AEM Forms Designer. Is this even possible? I've searched and searched and cannot find a place to buy this program.
Thanks for any pointers.

I think it's best to think of AEM Forms as a subscription cloud-based service, rather than an individual software program that you can buy and install on your computer.

Thanks for the reply. Even a sub based program would be fine, but I can't even find out how to do that. I see ever Adobe product available except for AEM Forms Designer.
Maybe the poster below this one is right, and there is no stand-along designer any longer. If you have any further info I'd be grateful.
Thanks.

How do you actually get someone in sales to purchase a subscription to the AEM Forms??? I have been trying for 5 days now just to get ANYONE to respond to a message, email or chat...it is ridiculous! The sales number goes right to VM, chat is useless and I have filled out multiple sales requests on line. Any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully you'll get a reply here on the forum from an Adobe staff member who can get you a live person.
Whenever I've had difficulty reaching a sales rep for ANY product that I'm interested in buying, I've learned to take that as an omen: things won't improve after the sale.

Thank you, I agree...I am already wondering how this is going to go if I ever get the chance to purchase this product! I appreciate your response.

Hey Guys,
For all of you looking to purchase AEM Forms Designer, it is the replacement for LiveCycle Designer. AEM Forms Designer is now available for customers to purchase standalone on a term / subscription basis, via Adobe partners
You can call 1-800-685-3644, press 2, then 1 to be connected with a partner / get a quote
I hope this helps.

I tried calling the number provided, followed the prompts...finally got a live person, then I was literally transferred to 4 people, each one telling me they were the wrong department. I finally gave up! I have never had such a hard time trying to purchase something.

That is frustrating. I have one more link directly to the checkout page for Adobe Forms Designer. If this doesn't work i am at a loss.
See if this works.

I have recently purchased Forms Designer via Reseller (Comparex), licenses are only sold in 10 packs - maybe that is an option.

I saw a reply suggesting you could no longer buy Designer, only the whole of AEM. But info Is scarce.

No, Adobe no longer sells the stand-alone LiveCycle Designer. If you can get your hands on a legit copy, you can still run it on current Windows 10 workstations.
If you have older versions of Acrobat Pro, look through your CDs or installation files for versions of Acrobat X or CS 4, and install "Designer" from them.

Another option for forms design:
Adobe InDesign versions CC:2018 (13.1 in March 2018) or the current CC:2019.
I've designed forms for eons and teach classes in the topic. Forms from InDesign is the best and easiest method. Doesn't give you all the tools for scripting, calculations, etc., but basic form creation is solid and accessible — the rest can be added in Acrobat.
I have a class in accessible PDF forms from InDesign. It's being updated and will be offered again after the new year. Will have 2 versions of the class: Accessible PDF Forms from InDesign, and Accessible PDF Forms from Word and Acrobat. https://www.pubcom.com/classes/508-classes.shtml#forms508

If you have AEM Forms license Adobe will provide you with a copy. Send email to spphelp@adobe.com and ask for download links, they should be able to help.

You can't technically buy LiveCycle anymore as it was decommisioned back in 2018 or so. What you can do is buy Adobe Experience Manager Designer. This is essenitally that same desktop application you were using so you can still load your forms into it and have the same functionaility as before.
Take a look at this FAQ if you are looking at more details comparing the legacy LiveCycle solution to the modern Designer tool.
