Not possible. You can select "Aaaaaa", "Cccccc" and "Eeeeee" at the same time by holding down Ctrl with the Highlight tool and drawing a box around the entire area, but not "A", "D" and "E" at the same time.

It is possible, though, to combine separate highlights as a single one, after you've created and selected them, but it requires using a custom-made script.
