How to stop Acrobat from "reading" my scores as text?

Hi

I use Acrobat Reader to extract score pages from a music score pdf. Everytime I open a pdf, AR starts to try to convert the text to text, or that is what I suppose is going on. But my scores are not going to be converted, so I have to cancel this function every time. How can I stop AR from doing that by default?

And how can I have the left sidebar show miniatures by default?

Reader can't extract pages from a PDF file. Are you sure it's not Adobe Acrobat (without Reader)?

Yes you are right, it is Adobe Acrobat.

To have the document show the page thumbnails by default go to File > Properties > Initial View. Choose Pages Panel and Page from the Navigation Tab dropdown.
