in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Thank you. For example, if i were to print this page using ctl+p , the destination is PDF. Once i press PRINT it automatically opens in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I need to stop the automatic opening every time Print to Adobe PDF. Thanks!

I do this every timeAdobe updates. Sometimes it takes few prints to realize thst the box is unchecked, but it does work. The problem is thst every update restore the checkmark. How do I make the setting I choose persistent?

I always have that box un-checked, but as of today, in spite of that, all pdf:s are opened after I print them. As I print a lot of pdf:s, this is very irritating!! Don't know what more I can do!

I found the answer! I create pdf:s from Adobe FrameMaker. I use the Adobe printer there. If I go to  Properties on that printer in FrameMaker, the box was checked. I un-checked it there too, and now the files doesn't open when they are printed 🙂

Edit above. It works, but each morning I have to do it again... It resets when the computer is turned off. This drives me nuts. It has worked perfectly since I started using FrameMaker in 1998....

That should not happen. Try running a Repair Installation of Acrobat, via the Help menu.

Also, I don't think you ever specified what exact version of Acrobat you have...

Sorry, I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (2023 something, can't look exactly as I am repairing...). Will get back tomorrow and report if it worked. Thanks.
