Question

How to (totally) disable hyperlinks in a PDF?

Hello.

At my company we have a couple of thousands of PDF books - many of them contain hyperlinks. Is there a way of disabling the hyperlinks, so that they are not clickable from any PDF reader at all?

Thanks.

Uncheck this Preference option:

Thanks, but that only works within that software. If I set that setting and open the PDF in Chrome, then Chrome still detects the hyperlinks and make them clickable.

This is the default behaviour in all softwares, it's up to the user to turn it off (or on).

What kind of hyperlinks?

Anything like www.adobe.com, https://www.adobe.com, adobe.com, etc...

With the Link Tool add links with no action.
