How to turn off the Edit Image pop-up menu?

I have search the discussion board, but can't find an answer to this question:

When editing a PDF and you click on an image to resize it, you get a pop-up menu with options Replace Image, Choose Image, etc.  The problem is, the pop-up menu covers the anchors I need to click on to drag the image to the proper size.

If I click out of Acrobat and back in, the image is still selected and I can see the anchors I want to drag, but this is slowing down productivity.

Can anyone tell me how to disable the edit graphic pop-up menu?  (Not all menus, just these pop-up that get in the way of what you are trying to do.)

Thanks in advance, Jack
