How to turn this ai search assistant off?

Go to Menu - Preferences - Generative AI and disable it.

This does NOT disable the AI search feature. It still pops up at the bottom of every PDF that gets opened. It also doesn't remove the AI button from the toolbar.

Form another post, to revert to the old interface:

  • On Macs, go to the View menu and select Disable New Acrobat. (I'm not on Mac, so I cannot test).
  • On Windows, to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner (where the old File menu used to be) and select Disable New Acrobat, it's about 2/3 down the menu
