Question

Hyperlinks and electronic signatures

I have a Word document which needs a manager's signature on it so it can be posted to my organization's webpage.  The document includes hyperlinks to other documents or webpages.

I've created a PDF version of the document using Save As.  The links work.

When I go into Adobe Acrobat Sign to have the manager sign the PDF, the links no longer work.

How do I get an electronic signature on the document while maintaining the hyperlinks?

Hi @Rhonda5E31

Hope you are doing well.

When I go into Adobe Acrobat Sign to have the manager sign the PDF, the links no longer work.

How do I get an electronic signature on the document while maintaining the hyperlinks?

When a document is send for signature via Adobe Sign for e-signature, it flatten the document. Hence, bookmarks, action buttons, hyperlink etc. doesn't work.

Please read the correct answer given here for more information on it: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/hyperlinks-not-working-in-adobe-sign/m-p/10571552/thread-id/147942#M147946

Thanks,

So,, if I understand the information in the link you provided, there is no way in Adobe to have an electronically-signed document with working hyperlinks.

Not helpful, but I guess I'm going to have to figure out a workaround.

Guess you didn't read this part:

I just sent a document with hyperlinks and they work once it was signed.
