I am trying to download the file APRO8_Win_ESD1_WWEFG.exe for installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. But it seems like the Akamai NetSession Service does not work.

change "http://" to "https://" for the download link

use this  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/activation-fails-cs3-acrobat-8.html and if you have a problem there, use a different browser.

chrome and ff usually work well, but it's most likely a setting problem so just use a different one.
