i am unable to edit PDF forms

Question

I am unable to edit PDF forms and documents. I used to be able to with no problem. Since last week it won't allow me to when I click on "'Scan & OCR", then I click on "Recognize text", and then click on "In this file", then I click on "current page" and then click on "Recognize". It says its correcting document so it can be edited but when I click on Edit or Add Text its greyed-out and won't allow me to. I even go to the settings on the page and go to Output and the dropbox I select "Editable Text and Images" and the Edit and Edit Text features are still greyed-out. Can someone help please. It's taking up way too much of my time at work and I need this feature to work!

Sorry for the delayed response and the frustrating experience.

I tested this issue at my end, and it works fine with no problems or errors. An update was released this week; please try updating your application by Launching Acrobat > help > Check for Updates. Let us know if that helps.
If it didn't help, provide us with the following information:

Operating System name and version.
Acrobat version.
Does this happen with a specific file or all?
A screen recording would help us understand the problem on your end.
